Socceroos assistant coach Ante Milicic previews the team’s upcoming massive match up against Saudi Arabia. In addition to that game in two weeks, the Socceroos are also set to face Brazil in what should be a well contested encounter and Milicic admits he’s keen to get started. “I wouldn’t say it’s nerves, more a case of looking forward to it with the national team. “It’s hectic, but more than that it’s exciting. June will be a big month and there’s a lot to look forward too. As a coaching staff we look forward to these times when we get the players together for an extended period. We can get a lot of work done with the players and test ourselves against some quality opposition.” With the announcement of the squad only a few days away however, Milicic refused to be drawn on any surprise announcements. “Ange will make the announcement next week but we’re constantly monitoring the players, their wellness, their travel and their performance on the field so there’s a lot of things to consider. But Ange is pretty close to making his decision so it’ll be an exciting time when he announces the 23 next week.” LISTEN NOW.
